The purpose of the prize is to inspire language learners to achieve higher levels of language proficiency and to encourage language teachers to teach languages to the highest standards of quality and creativity.

The competition is open to teachers of English and German and to the learners of these languages from Hungary and Romania. The prize will awarded to one student and one language teacher in 2022.
